The Walking Dead – Episode 6: TS-19
That’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed them as much as we have. Going to have to wait for season 2 now.
While the season finale wasn’t the strongest episode of the series they still ended with a bang. And I’m not talking about the cheesy explosion and fire effects they used at the end of the show. The episode opened with a great flashback to what happened at the hospital when Rick was in the coma, and Shane making the choice to leave Rick at the hospital. From there we went to the group’s current situation and their new found haven. After having a night to let their guard down and enjoy themselves everyone showed a bit of their true colours. Rick showed a ripple in his faith for survival, Shane once again confronted Laurie (whens that guy going to give it a rest already). And then all too quickly it was taken from them again. And that was my only major beef with this episode was that the transition from in danger to safe to total peril was too fast and it didn’t seem believable that they would of let their guard down that quickly. Other than that the episode dealt with some important things like learning how the disease works against the brain.
I have to say there are other ways I would of liked to see the season finale end knowing that there is a season 2 on the way. But that is privileged knowledge that the filmmakers didn’t know when they were making season 1. This is still the best zombie TV series out there, and ranks very high on my favourite TV series on TV right now. Looking forward to see where they go with season 2.
